Først kom Rickey, siden Jørgen og nu, som slutningen på trilogien om voksne homoseksuelle mænd i Danmark, filmen om Bob (Robert Lee Harris), barnefødt i Pittsburgh, Amerika men har boet og virket mere end sit halve liv i Danmark.
Bobs historie er en fortælling om hvordan man overlever et bedsteborgerligt voldsramt hjem og på trods af alle odds (andre i søskendeflokken klare det ikke) er i stand til at bede om hjælp og rejse de skrøbelige rester og blive et helt menneske.
Bob er klog på livet og en rundhåndet fortæller.
Han spare hverken sig selv eller andre når han smilende og særdeles charmerende videregiver erfaringer de fleste af os, om ikke andet i det skjulte vil kunne nikke genkendende til.
Bob er tidligere danser i det verdensberømte amerikanske dansekompagni Alvin Ailey. Har i Danmark arbejdet i skatteministeriet men er nok for de fleste kendt som croquis model.
Filmen er Bjørn Ignatius Øckenholts 3. film om voksne homoseksuelle mænd i Danmark. Som de andre to er der intet ønske fra dokumentaristens side om at hverken romantisere eller dramatisere. Der er rigeligt uden, og disse voksne mænd er glimrende fortællere.
Det er ikke altid rart at hører på, men der er medrivende og berigende.
