At a somewhat paradoxical historical juncture characterized both by radically new developments within robotics and drone warfare and the return of nuclear- and Cold War dynamics, this first of three public seminars on the culture and aesthetics of late modern warfare invites five internationally renowned speakers to reflect on and discuss one overarching question: what is the future of war?
Louise Amoore (Durham University)
Mark B. N Hansen (Duke University)
Mark Danner (University of California, Berkeley)
Caroline Holmqvist (Université Libre de Bruxelles)
James Der Derian (The University of Sydney)
The seminar is free, and open to the public. It is organized by the research project The Aesthetics of Late Modern War and the University of Southern Denmark with support from the Velux and Carlsberg Foundations.
