9 komponister fra foreningen Toneart har skrevet hver sit værk specifikt til Kathrine Windfeld Big Band.
Glæd jer til en enestående mulighed for at høre helt ny bigbandmusik, skrevet af 9 komponister med forskellige udtryk og fra forskellige generationer, opført af et af landets mest succesrige og karismatiske bigbands.
De 9 komponister er: Lubos Soukup, Kim Kristensen Hugh Steinmetz, Anders T Andersen, Peter Danstrup, Jan Kaspersen, Simon Spang-Hanssen, Rene Mogensen og Niels Gerhardt.
Udover de nye værker vil Kathrine Windfeld Big Band spille en håndfuld numre fra deres nye plade, Latency, som har nydt international anerkendelse:

Kulturhuset Islands Brygge er et levende og mangfoldigt samlingspunkt ved vandet – midt i Islands Brygges Havnepark, mellem havnebadet og petanquebanen, med udsigt til Københavns havnefront. Siden 2002 har vi skabt rum for fællesskab, kreativitet og kulturelle oplevelser for både lokale bryggeboere og besøgende fra nær og fjern.
Hos os kan du være med til alt fra koncerter, teater og quiz til fællesmiddage, kreative værksteder og børnekultur. Vi rummer over 300 arrangementer årligt – store som små, velkendte som eksperimenterende – og vi tror på, at kultur lever bedst i fællesskab. Derfor samarbejder vi tæt med projektmagere, foreninger, kunstnere og lokale ildsjæle.
Du kan engagere dig sammen med andre i emner som klima, natur og bæredygtighed til arrangementer fra programmet 'KIB the Change', og i udstillingsrummet Biokuben kan du gå på opdagelse i tankevækkende udstillinger om klima og forandring skabt af kunstnere, aktivister og forskere .
Kulturhuset Islands Brygge er på bølgelængde med byen – med åbne døre, fleksible rammer og plads til nye idéer. Uanset om du er frivillig, arrangør eller gæst, glæder vi os til at se dig.
