Turid Nørlund er født og opvokset i Hasle, hvor hun har trådt sine barnesko. Hun har spillet rundbold, hvor ringvejen lå, og hun lærte at synge i Hasle skoles kor.
Nu vender hun hjem, når hun besøger Verden til Herredsvang med sit band, der består af yderst kompetente musikere, og det er en stor oplevelse, vi har i vente, når Turid præsenterer hendes sange.
Gardinerne til privaten er blevet trukket fra, og lytterne er inviteret indenfor hos en kvinde, der gør hvad hun kan for at være nærværende, og derfor ikke altid når at få iscenesat det perfekte ydre. Det er varm, levende, organisk, melodisk, akustisk musik, spillet af rigtige mennesker i en ”Take it or leave it” ånd.
Singlen ”Lines In The Distance” fra hendes sidste plade vandt den danske finale i AKG Global Rockstar Contest i 2013, men også andre sange fra albummet har fået airplay i udlandet bl.a. i USA og Tyskland. Turid Nørlund har optrådt med stor succes på bl.a. Tønder Festival 2012 og Strib Vinter Festival 2013.
Inden koncerten serveres der i anledning af, at det er december, medisterpølse, brune og hvide kartofler, rødkål og brun sovs. Der er linsepostej til vegetarerne.
