Under Golden Days Festival vil man som noget helt særligt komme tættere på dronningerne i et kongeligt gravkapel. Samme gravkapel, hvor den danske enevældes dronninger er begravet. Under den imponerende kuppel fortæller forfatter Louise Langhoff Koch om enevældens dronninger og kommer bag den pragtfulde facade i 1700-tallets Danmark.
Hvem var de, de kvinder, der blev giftet ind i den danske kongerække, og hvad tænkte de egentlig? I dag ligger de i kapellet, men engang stod de i centrum for mænd og kongerige og måtte tackle kulturelle strømninger og politiske dramaer. Kom tæt på dronningerne, hør om deres liv og den tid de levede i og mærk suset fra dansk dronningehistorie.
Imellem de spændende dronningeskæbner vil sangere fra Roskilde Domkirkes Pigekor synge om to andre magtfulde kvinder, nemlig Dronning Dagmar og Dronning Magrete. Magrete 1. er også begravet i Domkirken.
Louise Langhoff Koch er forfatter til bogen ”Kongernes Kvinder. Dronninger, elskerinder, friller og maitresser i den danske kongerække fra Christian 1. til i dag”. Uddannet som cand.mag i litteraturvidenskab med særlig interesse for historiske romaner og karakterer. Hun er yderligere redaktør, litterær agent, projektleder og underviser.
