Experience Chiharu Shiota's total exhibition Multiple Realities through a meditation walk guided by teacher Marcus U. Grandjean - in English.
For this year's exhibition, Cisternerne is transformed into a both magical and unsettling place. Chiharu Shiota embraces the sensuous potential of the space and converts Cisternerne to a dreamlike scenery, where deeper layers of the human psyche find an aesthetic expression in rotation dresses, reflections, and maze-like yarn structures.
On this special evening, we explore Shiota's underground world and let the mind rest between thoughts and observations. We will be present in our bodies and minds allowing ourselves to be open and curious towards the experience. Maybe there are fewer answers than there are questions, and maybe there are more realities than the one we think is ours.
You will be guided safely through the entire meditation by Marcus U. Grandjean. Marcus has more than 12 years of experience with Zen-Buddhism and is a trained Human Physiologist, author of the book "Et liv med te" (A life with tea), and teaches meditation and movement.
Practical information: It is cold in Cisternerne, and parts of the meditation will take place seated. Bring therefore warm clothes with you for the event.
