In this 1-hour workshop you’ll get the chance to make something useful out of an object you would normally throw in the garbage. A Pringle’s container “dressed up” with a bit of wallpaper… a small tin can wrapped with washi tape…a glass jar with a retro-label. Or if you prefer, you can do some doodling and colouring-for-grown-ups instead.

No prior skills are required. Materials are included in the ticket price and you can take home the end result.

You’ll discover that the repetitive movements and ASMR sounds of crinkling and wrapping paper, cutting with scissors or drawing with pencil are relaxing or even therapeutic. Crafting also brings to an interesting mix of simultaneous focus and relaxation, and gives you the freedom to direct awareness inwards (your own thoughts) or outwards (your surroundings).

Since upcycling offers room for reflection on topics like consumer habits, modern society and the environment, we might talk a bit about that during the workshop- if the participants feel like it. But you can also choose just to listen or even be absent-minded while crafting.
