On Saturday the 20th of May, it’s time to gather up with friends and (pre-)celebrate the start of summer; in the sun, by the sea, to the sounds of top quality house and joyous smile-cracking disco. We are delighted to invite you to the first event in a series of daytime sessions throughout the summer, taking place at Halvandet - an urban diamond right on the waterfront of Copenhagen. At Upside, you will join some of our favourite acts from the scene right now, spiced with handpicked on-point local talent, and find yourself locked into a groove. Following our ambition, the line-up for our grand premier is no less than bliss...

Headlining our electrifying daytime session is Damiano von Erckert, whose wide-ranging selection of feel good dance music is sure to light us all up. Damiano, a well-respected DJ and producer from the Cologne scene, is also the head-honcho of AVA. Recordings, which has released music by DVE himself, Motor City Drum Ensemble and Mall Grab, to name a few. DVE’s love of Funk, Soul, Disco and House resonates in his productions and selections, while his ability to cross seamlessly between genres makes him one of our absolute favourite DJs. Having played at top venues all over the world such as about:blank & Panorama Bar in Berlin and Corsica Studios in London, and having shared booths with other brilliant artists such as the Black Madonna, David August, Hunee and many more, we are p-r-e-t-t-y excited to bring him over to Copenhagen for his first time!

Following, we proudly present Richard Fribert; a disco-loving, house-pumping swede with more than 10 years of DJing and throwing clubs under his name. Lately, you might have caught one of his colourful and dynamic sets of uplifting grooves at Culture Box, Chateau Motel or Bakken. This time, Richard’s delightment-approved vibes is sure to make us all grooving.

Next up is Carl Richter, a true sound explorer who discovered his passion for house music more than a decade ago. Carl is not only a DJ with a certain focus for portraying contrasts, but also one of the guys behind the unforgettable and notoriously beautiful FAUNA nights at NGBG26 in Malmoe. But perhaps, we love him the most for being a co-founder, resident and curator of the ever-evolving H.H.A.S.-project.

Completing our tailor made line-up, is Copenhagen’s homegrown wonderkid DJ Harrison Heat. A top selector with a passion for the deep sounds of Chicago house, topped off vibey disco peaks. During his years, this local spinner has played in all corners of Copenhagen; from Chateau Motel and Bakken, to block parties and Distortion.
