Hvis du ikke kender Hank Williams, så genkender du helt sikkert en eller flere af hans over 250 sange som for eksempel Jambalaya, Hey Good Lookin’ og Your Cheatin’ Heart. Det var sange, der formåede at forvandle skønhed og smerte til uforfalsket musik.
I 1940’er blev Hank Williams i en alder af kun 23 år USA's første landskendte superstar sammen med bandet Drifting Cowboys. Det var i radioens storhedstid, og Hanks musik blev sendt live fra Grand Ole Opry i Nashville, countrymusikkens mekka.
Hank Williams døde som kun 29-årig, men nåede på trods af sin korte karriere at blive kendt som Hillbilly Shakespeare for sin evne til at skrive melodier og tekster, der gik direkte i hjertet. Det gør de den dag i dag, og med bandet Whole Lotta Hank genopliver vi musikken og sangskatten.
Whole Lotta Hank har samme line-up som Hanks band Drifting Cowboys. Kom og genoplev Grand Ole Oprys gyldne dage, hvor den nye countrysound fra Hank Williams fik folk til at gå helt amok.
