We often hear how difficult it can be to make new friends in Denmark or a new place abroad, especially as an adult. The absence of genuine connections and meaningful conversations can sometimes leave us feeling a little lonely or like we don't belong. For others, friends may have moved away or onto new phases of life, leaving us with the need to restart a new friendship group all over again...
While regular networking events are great and serve their purpose, they may sometimes leave you feeling that you have to perform; sometimes you may feel the need to hold back your authentic self; or you simply crave more meaningful interactions beyond repetitive small talk.
But these places are not necessarily the place to hold deep, meaningful conversations. And that's OK. Cos meaningful conversations deserve a home of their own, where it does not feel out of place...
...That home is Authentic You Me.
Authentic You Me Slow Friending is born - a creative, new way to meet new people
It's because of all the reasons above that Authentic You Me created a new, unique kind of social gathering that challenges conventional formats; and holds space for authentic connection and meaningful conversations that don't feel out of place - while still allowing you to mix and meet with various people throughout the evening. A new name was born for it too: Slow Friending Socials.
You are invited to join Authentic You Me
Join me for a carefully and lovingly curated slow-friending evening that is all about embracing your authentic self, connecting on a deeper level with like-minded people, challenging your perspective and sparking curiosity through stimulating conversations – all in a welcoming, non-intimidating & hyggelige setting. Suited to both introverts & extroverts.
What to expect
*You will be assigned to small, rotational conversation groups - a format unique to Authentic You Me
*You will be guided through a curated set of conversation starters
*You will dive into deep meaningful conversations throughout the evening
*You will get to practice active listening, empathy and good conversational skills
*You will get to walk away with new found friendships
*You will get to take away skills that may help improve your relationships: in friendships, romance, or work

Who is this for?
*An afternoon dedicated to like-minded professionals aged in their 30s, 40s, 50s+ or thereabouts (Not your age group but in need of place like this? Join in, regardless!)
*You are a globally-minded local, an international or a returning Dane
*You are new to the city or you have been here for a while
*Whether you come alone, with a partner or a friend, you are up for diving into the power of deep conversations
*All nationalities and genders are welcome.
You are welcome into a non-over crowded setting. Intentionally limited to a few seats only to create a non-intimidating, hyggelige environment. So, don't delay in confirming your ticket soon!

Authentic You Me is on a mission to help locals, internationals and repats come together to tackle the challenges of building meaningful connections, specially as an adult; as well as help fight the feelings of loneliness / sense of not belonging that can sometimes arise when you are in a place away from home. Each session is carefully crafted to guide you through an evening of meaningful conversations that bring out the authentic you, stimulate your mind, heart and soul; and go beyond the small talk.
