ECSTATIC DANCE PARTY🌴☀

On Saturday 5 November, we open the doors once more to a night of ecstatic free form dancing, deep inner discovery journeys, grounding, live drumming, community fun and festivities!

You can look forward to dancing bare feet on brand new floor mats, a professional sound system, visuals, amazing artists and an open and welcoming atmosphere! During the event, you are guided by experienced facilitators, DJs and musicians into a feeling of flow, ecstasy and bodily integration. 

NEDA PROGRAM OF THE NIGHT 😍🎶

18:30 - 19:00: Welcome, joyful music and potluck (doors close at 19.00 sharp)
19:00 - 19:30: Opening circle and facilitation
19:30 - 21:15: Ecstatic dance with DJ Grundstoff
21:15 - 20:45: Grounding by the music collective YogaCola
21:45 - 22:00: Closing circle and integration
22:00 - 22:30: Community chat and potluck (optional)

DJ Sandra Grundstoff has been DJing since 2016. She is drawn to settings where dancers get high on life and beats, and typically invites dancers on journeys with an electronic thread, including lots of organic elements. She enjoys evoking both subtle and raw energies, where muscles and meditation meet on the dancefloor. The journeys always start and end with slow music, with an intention of reaching a heightened awareness of movements.

YogaCola is exactly as the name implies - a merger of the deeply spiritual and the cutting edge of this world’s sugary mainstream madness. With inspirations ranging from the spicy East to the dark North, YogaCola’s multi-instrumentalists and singers will connect us through lyrical and poetic embraces found in old traditions and heart-opening mantras. Dancers and listeners will soon find themselves emerged into an ecstatic ocean of intuitively invented dance music. We are privileged to have four YogaCola members joining us this time: Jonathan Aardestrup, Simon Glöde, Maximillian Vording & Tom Frank.

Several dance angels and team members will be there as well to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We are looking very much forward to seeing you!

OUR PRINCIPLES AND BELIEFS 🌻🌿
One of the core elements of ecstatic dance is to co-create a socially comfortable and open space. A space where we can explore ourselves and our surroundings through sound and movement. Although its called 'ecstatic' it is just as much about grounding. As it’s a shared experience, we have an approach of acceptance, tolerance, and love for music and dance. Always, however, in a way where we respect and pay attention to each other's boundaries. Throughout the dance, we communicate with our eyes and bodies without words - and without the need for alcohol or other forms of intoxication. Furthermore, ecstatic dance does not require any inherent or acquired skills - while we welcome and embrace all ethnicities and beliefs. So, come as you are!

WHAT TO BRING? 🍓🥗
- A water bottle
- A towel (optional)
- Comfortable clothing for dancing
- Potluck. You are most welcome to bring some food, snacks, fruits, etc. for all of us to share at the beginning and the end (or if you get hungry in the middle). We call it 'potluck' as no one knows what we'll get. We will serve some fruits and nuts as well to keep you going!

ABOUT NEDA 💚💛
NEDA's core team members are educated 'Ecstatic Dance Facilitators' combined with multiple years of experience in yoga, meditation and music theory and practice. We promote and celebrate multiculturalism and diversity. This influences our community of dancers as well as our choice of music which typically is a combination of world, electronic, organic, folktronica and live drumming. We also seek to integrate various movement disciplines in our facilitation practices, such as yoga, martial arts and contact improvisation. Ecstatic dancing is a fun and healthy way of learning how to listen to our bodies, our senses and our longings.

TICKETS - TWO TYPES THIS TIME 🌸🌸
This time we offer a limited amount of early bird / low income tickets for 150 DKK and regular / support tickets for 200 DKK for the whole night. We tend to sell out so don't wait too long :-) Note that they are non-refundable, but you are welcome to sell it to another dancer. Just make sure to forward the ticket via mail or in print so that we can validate it at the entrance. Thanks! See you soon on the dance floor!
