Yihe Qin Society, based in Copenhagen is dedicated to sharing the rich heritage of Guqin music.
Guqin
– the Chinese seven-stringed zither – is one of China’s oldest and most
ethereal instruments, with a history spanning over 3,000 years. Its
sound is deep, meditative, and closely tied to Chinese philosophy,
poetry, and reverence for nature. In 2003, the guqin was recognized by
UNESCO as part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity — a
symbol of China’s rich cultural legacy.
