    Biography of artists:

    Marie-Luise Bodendorff was born in Augsburg (Germany) in 1983.

    She had her first piano lessons at the age of five and due to her exceptional talent she was admitted to the Hochschule für Musik in Karlsruhe at the age of 10. She later became a full-time student of Prof. Olga Rissin-Morenova.

    Aged six, Marie-Luise Bodendorff started giving concerts. Her first public appearance was with The South-West Chamber Orchestra Pforzheim in 1989.

    Other events include performing with Kurpfälzisches Kammerorchester Mannheim, New Philharmonic Westphalia, Folkwang Kammerorchester Essen, The Bacau Philharmonic and The Kharkov Philharmonic and Preußisches Kammerorchester and Orchestra Classica di Alessandria. She has played numerous solo and chamber music recitals in Poland, Serbia, France, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Denmark, Italy and China. She also made recordings for ARD and Bayrischen Rundfunk in Germany and P2 in Denmark.

    2002 until 2007, Marie-Luise Bodendorff studied with Russian piano authority Vladimir Krainev at the Hannover University of Music, Drama and Media.

    The ERASMUS exchange programme enabled her to study at Paris Conservatoire, where she took lessons with the famous French pianist Brigitte Engerer in 2008.

    From 2007 to 2013, Marie-Luise Bodendorff attended Postgraduate Studies with Prof. Christopher Oakden in Hannover and finished these successfully.

    The soloist class at Royal Danish Academy of Music (RDAM) with Prof. Niklas Sivelöv, proved to be an important milestone on her artistic journey.

    In June 2014, Marie-Luise Bodendorff received her soloist diploma and gave her debut recital in Tivoli Concert Hall. She had already given a virtuoso solo recital in 2013 and performed Rachmaninoff´s Third Piano Concerto at the same venue one year earlier with the RDAM Orchestra.

    In 2013, Marie-Luise Bodendorff was invited to play for the Danish Royal Family at Chateau de Caix.

    Marie-Luise Bodendorff is since 2016 a part time teacher in piano and chamber music at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen.

    In 2021 Marie-Luise Bodendorff's CD with works by F. Kuhlau (Dacapo Records) was chosen by the Danish newspaper Politiken as one of the best 20 recordings of 2021.

    In 2022 Vol. 2 by F. Kuhlau (DaCapo Records) was published and got many great reviews.

    Mikkel Torup was born in Odense and was taught by Inke Kesseler at Odense Music School and MGK, and then studied at Musikhochschule Münster in Germany and the Royal Danish Music Conservatory in Copenhagen. Also studies with Julian Thurber, and Sebastián Colombo in Brussels and Elena Kuschnerova in Germany. He received master classes from i.a. Andrej Jasinski, Boris Berman, Aleksandra Zvirblyte, Cristina Marton-Argerich. He performed as a soloist with chamber orchestras from Poland and Ukraine at the "International Piano Forum" in Sanok, Poland and played concerts in Serbia, Holland and Denmark, among others. Since 2020, he studies in the soloist class with Søren Rastogi and Martin Lysholm Jepsen in Aarhus. He is prize winner in over 20 national and international piano competitions, including the Danish Steinway Festival, the Concorso "Città di Barletta" in Italy and the Concours Cap Ferret in France. In 2021 he received the Grand Prix (Primo Premio Assoluto) at the Concorso Internazionale di Musica "Città di Stresa" in Italy. Mikkel has a scholarship from Esther Vagning's and Feldthusen's foundations, and since 2022 has been part of Copenhagen Piano Soloists, as a new festival with six young pianists with different international backgrounds. Mikkel teaches permanently at Sankt Petri Music School, and has been as a jury in the competitions: Steinway Festival, "Jugend Musiziert" and "Unge Spiller Klassisk".

    Romanian pianist Bogdan Marian Nicola was born in Bucharest but has been based on Denmark since 2011 when his early passion for the piano led him to study at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen.

    Bogdan Marian Nicola currently holds a scholarship for traveling from the National Bank of Denmark, a reward who is given to only one student every year. In 2014 Bogdan was the winner of the 2nd prize in the International Piano Competition “Carl Filtsch” in Sibiu, Romania. In 2012 he was the winner of the 3rd prize also in the “Carl Filtsch” International piano competition in Sibiu, Romania.

    Bogdan has performed recitals and concertos across Romania, Austria, France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and Germany . In Copenhagen, Denmark Bogdan has performed at venues including Copenhagen Philharmonic Hall, Tivoli Concert Hall, Steinway Hall. He has performed with the Philharmonic “Mihail Jora’’ from Bacau, Romania and “George Enescu” Musical College Orchestra .

    Yael Acher
    The award winning, diversified flutist, composer, and educator, Acher- Modiano from Tel Aviv, Copenhagen, and New York received her BA degree in Classical Flute Performing Arts from the Rubin Academy in Jerusalem, where she studied also Jazz and Electronic Music Composition. She lived in Copenhagen and relocated to NYC in 2005 as Fulbright scholar, studying Composition at NYU, and received MA in Music for Social Change, from Empire State College (NY), while also working and creating as an independent artist in New York City and internationally. Modiano currently lives in Copenhagen and New York City.
