We invite you to join AN HOUR WITH Alice Presencer as she delves into the development process of her artistic research "Laboured Luxury".

With a background in voice and dance practices, and a keen fascination for the staging of expression, Alice will share an amalgamation of impressions, influences and tools she has collected thus far.

Alice invites contemplation of the social and bodily contexts that shape our experiences by analysing ideas, reflections, and footage through the lens of context and composition. Together, we will address the entanglements of the social and somatic in all its glorious nonsense.

Alice Presencer is a performing artist and performance maker whose work is situated within voice and dance practices. Her artistic endeavors span across various disciplines, including singing, dancing, performing, filmmaking, and choreography. Through the merging of different artistic practices, she strives to encourage the contemplation of accepted norms within emotional expression.

AN HOUR WITH is HAUT's format for an informal conversation, which provides space for short or intense immersion in an artistry or an artistic practice. It is an opportunity to meet artists in an informal setting and gain insight into knowledge that is usually only available to the people who are part of the work process.

Alice Presencer was invited into a one week residency with her artistic research "Laboured Luxury" through the open call for “IN PROCESS – Entangled”. The focus of the open call was on the encounter between an artistic practice and the local context of Odsherred and was curated in collaboration with Kinéo 37.
