Copenhagen Photo Festival

The largest Nordic festival of its kind returns between 3.-30. June with more than 30 exhibitions in galleries, museums and art institutions around Copenhagen and southern Sweden. At Copenhagen Photo Festival, summer is packed with creativity, experimentation and exhibitions, when our carefully selected photographers transform a wilderness into a 4000 m2 exhibition park for photography and lens-based art. 

The festival presents a high-quality program, both artistically and conceptually, all the while building a bridge between art and documentary photography, making Copenhagen Photo Festival a photographic mecca.

Established artists and new talents

Copenhagen Photo Festival is about photography seen through our three themes: Framing Identity, Framing Society and Framing Vision. The festival focuses on new forms of exhibition, new ways of using photography, and presents works by both new and established artists. Read more about each photographer here .

During the festival there will be a lot of activities, including: DJs, performances, workshops, lectures, yoga and much more. Take part in our daily L'Apéro at 17: A French-inspired four-night ritual that combines drinks, food and good company. A ritual that further makes the Copenhagen Photo Festival a place where you can gather and enjoy the summer.

Have you ever dreamed of shooting pictures the old-fashioned way? Making your own art book? Do you want to become an expert in publishing and crowdfunding? Or discover more about artists and their works? Copenhagen Photo Festival offers a wide range of events for both children and adults.

The ticket

This ticket gives access to Copenhagen Photo Festival's exhibition park in the period 3.-13. June 2021. All talks, workshops and events in the festival's center on Refshaleøen are included in the price. The exhibitions that take place around the city in the period 3.-30. June 2021 is either free or priced by the local gallery. 

A Corona-friendly event

Due to COVID-19, the festival will adapt to those restrictions. It is our highest priority to carry out this year's festival by taking into account the authorities' recommendations for everyone's safety.

Copenhagen Photo Festival

The largest nordic festival of its kind returns on June 3-30, now with more than 30 exhibitions spread all over galleries, museums and art institutions in Copenhagen and southern Sweden. At Copenhagen Photo Festival, the summer will be brimming with creativity, experimentation and lots of top quality exhibitions where our carefully selected artists turn a huge wasteland, into an innovative 4,000 m2 exhibition park filled with the best of photography and lens-based art.

The festival focuses on new forms of exhibiting, new ways of using photography, and features work from both established and emerging artists, who get a creative outlet through the festival, where their raw uncut creativity is on full display. During the festival, a lot of activities are happening: DJ sets, performances, workshops, talks, yoga classes and much more for both kids and adults alike.

The ticket

This ticket grants access to Copenhagen Photo Festival's exhibition park between June 3-13, 2021. All talks, workshops and events in the festival center at Refshaleøen are included in the price. The exhibitions around town between June 3.-30. 2021 are either free or priced by the gallery itself.
