Kom med når Holstebro Kunstmuseum, tirsdag d. 22. marts kl.19:30, inviterer til foredrag med kunstkritiker, forfatter og kunsthistoriker Bente Scavenius
Måske kender du hende fra populære tv-programmer som Danmarks bedste portrætmaler og kunstquizzen, fra hendes forfatterskab til en lang række bøger med kunsthistoriske emner eller for hendes fremragende foredrag. Tirsdag d. 22. marts kan du møde hende til foredraget Mit livs billeder på Holstebro Kunstmuseum.
Bente Scavenius har levet næsten hele sit liv i kunstens lys. Sidste år udgav hun bogen Mit livs billeder, hvor hun med udgangspunkt i sit meget personlige forhold til den danske billedkunst sætter fokus på en række malerier, der såvel fagligt som privat har optaget hende, og har haft stor betydning for hende gennem et efterhånden langt liv som kunsthistoriker. Bogen har den folkekære kunsthistoriker nu omdannet til et foredrag, hvor hun tager udgangspunkt i enkelte, udvalgte kunstnere tilbage fra 1500-tallet, 1600-tallet og 1700-tallet for derefter at fortælle om guldalderens malerier og det moderne gennembruds malere som fx Vilhelm Hammershøj, Bertha Wegman, L.A. Ring og J.F Willumsen. Bente Scavenius runder også det 20. og 21 århundredes kunst med nedslag i samtidskunsten.

Inden vi sætter os til rette i foredragssalen vil være mulighed for at bestille kaffe og kage, som kan nydes i pausen – så mød endelig op i god tid.
