Der vanker en eksplosion af trance-noise, laser og modular synth, når den danske duo H E X (Lars Bech Pilgaard og Anders Bach) og den japanske avantgardist DoraVideo krydser klinger. ALICE er glade for endelig at kunne præsentere dem, når de gæster Xenon, Huset.
H E X og DoraVideo mødte hinanden på Kyushu-halvøen tilbage i 2019, hvor H E X’s anarkistiske take på freeform trance forenedes med DoraVideo’s frie controller-setup i en ekstatisk, syntetisk laser-bestråling af publikum. Til september genforenes de to, når H E X feat. DoraVideo indtager Xenon, Huset med et virvar af eksplosiv musikalitet.
Bag H E X står guitaristen Lars Bech Pilgaard og trommeslageren Anders Bach. H E X har haft en prominent rolle i den danske undergrund de sidste fire år, og deres seneste album “ms vodou” (Wetwear), blev nomineret som Årets Eksperiment til DMA Jazz 2020. Anders Bach gav i øvrigt en sublim koncert på ALICE i december sidste år, hvor han med ALICE Works-værket “Musik til Gnomen” blæste publikum bagover med et inferno af trommer.
DoraVideo (Ichiraku Yoshimitsu, f. 1959) er en unik profil på den japanske musikscene. Siden midten af halvfemserne har han været en central del af den japanske avantgarde, med faste samarbejdspartnere som Otomo Yoshihide, Keiji Haino og Jim O’Rourke. Ichiraku har turneret hyppigt i Europa og USA, og indspillet med navne som Eugene Chadbourne og Chris Cutler.
Der er med andre ord lagt op til en oplevelse ud over det sædvanlige, når støj, improvisation og laser forenes af tre kompromisløse kunstnere. Efter en aflyst koncert under årets Vinterjazz er vi glade for endelig at kunne præsentere den stærke trio når de gæster Xenon, Huset 28. september.

Get ready for an explosion of trance-noise, laser, and modular synth, as Danish duo H E X (Lars Bech Pilgaard og Anders Bach) and Japanese DoraVideo cross blades at Xenon, Huset.
H E X and DoraVideo met back in 2019 in Kyushu, Japan, where the anarchistic freeform trance of H E X and DoraVideos free controller setup came together and bathed the audience in a sea of synthetic sounds, lasers and ecstasy. This September, the two will reunite as H E X feat. DoraVideo as they take over Xenon, Huset.
