Traditionen tro opfører Københavns Bachkor og orkester J.S. Bachs Juleoratorium, som er en imponerende musikalsk udgave af Juleevangeliet og er ét af Bachs største værker bestående af en vekslen mellem recitativer, smukke arier og flotte korsatser. Værket består af i alt 6 kantater – en til hver af de 6 juledage, og i dette års koncert opføres kantate 1, 2 og 3, som omhandler fortællingen om jesusbarnets fødsel, hyrderne på marken og alle de kendte scener fra juleevangeliet.
