To af Nordens største jazznavne lægger vejen forbi Nordatlantens Brygge
Vi er stolte af at kunne præsentere to af de største navne inden for nordisk jazz: Islandske Sigurður Flosason, altsaxofinist og komponist, i selskab med den svenske pianist og komponist Lars Jansson. Med sig har de også den herboende canadiske bassist Graig Earle og svenske Paul Svanberg på trommer.
Kvartetten vil præsentere os for en række numre fra det anmelderroste album Green Moss Black Sand − en hyldest til den islandske natur − som den har givet koncerter med i både Nordeuropa og Nordamerika. Derudover vil de spille et udpluk af Lars Janssons lyriske og rytmiske kompositioner, karakteriseret ved deres klare skandinaviske udtryk.
Sigurður Flosason har vundet adskillige nordiske musikpriser. I Danmark har han spillet med blandt andre Jacob Fischer, Lennart Ginman, Peter Rosendal og Nikolaj Hess og udgivet hele fem plader på danske Storyville Records.
Lars Jansson er en legende på den europæiske jazzscene, og han har optrådt og indspillet med navne som Arild Andersen, Jan Garbarek, Bob Brookmeyer, Thad Jones, Bob Mintzer, Maria Schneider, Randy Brecker, Bob Berg, Mike Stern, Georg Russell og NHØP. Hans egen trio har udgivet et hav af anmelderroste og prisvindende plader.
Koncerten varer en time og og 15 minutter.
