Trommeslageren og komponisten Snorre Kirk har i de seneste mange år været en fast gæst på de internationale jazzklubber og festivaler, hvor han har gjort sig bemærket som sideman med nogle af de mest prominente jazzartister fra Skandinavien, samt med internationale størrelser som Diane Schuur, Stephen Riley og Eric Reed.
Med det kritikerroste debutalbum "Blues Modernism” fra 2012, der løb afsted med både JazzSpecial-Prisen for årets udgivelse samt to nomineringer til Danish Jazz Awards, trådte Snorre Kirk for alvor i karakter som komponist og orkesterleder. Med de to efterfølgende udgivelser, Europa fra 2015 og Drummer & Composer fra 2017 blev der banet vej for et internationalt gennembrud med optrædener på nogle af verdens førende jazzfestivaler herunder den prestigetunge North Sea Jazz Festival, The Art of Swing Festival i Kansas City, samt Pori Jazz Festival i Finland.
Sommeren 2018 udkom Snorre Kirks fjerde album, BEAT, der med sin eklektiske blanding af eksotiske rytmer og farverige kompositioner, udgør Snorre Kirks mest ambitiøse og persolige projekt til dags dato.
