The Cat Box Corp & Alice præsenterer en tirsdag med guitarstøj, ond elektronik og tunge beats som releasefejring af hele tre nye vinyludgivelser!
Der er i sandhed dømt ekstravagant fejring af den københavnske undergrund, når Tanja Vesterbye Jessen, Exquisite Russian Brides og Rat-Alarm samme aften gæster Alice. Alle er de aktuelle med stærke vinyludgivelser og hver især byder de på stærkt personlige bud på alternativ musik med rødder i alt fra smuk sangskrivning og guitarstøj til no wave, drone og field recordings. Og så koster det blot 50 kroner for 3 bands.
Tanja Vesterbye Jessen
Skønt efterhånden en veteran på den københavnske undergrundsscene kendt for sin radikale tilgang til den elektriske guitar i bl.a. Distortion Girls, Amstrong m.fl. er Tanja Vesterbye Jessen først for nyligt begyndt at udforske solo-formatet. Det har resulteret i solo-debutalbummet "Feeling Love", som på smuk vis kombinerer skrøbelige popsange med smadret guitarstøj, lejlighedesvise dansebeats og metalliske droner.
Exquisite Russian Brides
Sideløbende med sin tjans bag hammondorgelet i Distortion Girls har Marc Kellaway siden 2003 udgivet en serie af eksperimenterende albums under navnet Exquisite Russian Brides udforskende alt fra akustisk baserede lydflader over abstrakte collager af field recordings til rytmisk drevet støj. På det seneste har projektet bevæget sig i en mere elektronisk retning kulminerende i de langstrakt uddubbede konstruktioner af gamle kassettebåndsdroner, manipulerede regnvejrsoptageler, analoge synthesizere og minimale trommemaskiner på dobbeltvinylen "Overflow Variations" som udkom 15. maj 2018.
Rat-Alarm
Væbnet med gamle synthesizere og faldefærdige trommemaskiner spiller duoen Rat-Alarm (Martin Friis Jørgensen og Søren Meisner) en smuk, smadret og meget personlig semi-improviseret elektronisk old school no wave med inspiration fra navne som Bruce Haack og Silver Apples. Deres selvbetitlede debutvinyl udkom november 2017 - og fejres nu forsinket på Alice!

ALICE is presenting a bold and high quality program of global roots, jazz/improv, electronic music, sonic experiments and much more, shedding light on musical roots and legendary artists as well as exciting new breakthroughs from all over the world.
