I marts udsendte The Young Gods deres ottende studiealbum, Data Mirage Tangram, der viser at bandet, som blev dannet i Fribourg, Schweiz i 1985 er tilbage i topform. Med sangeren Franz Treichlers karakteriske stemme og indædte sangstil i front, repetitive trommespor og eksplosive guitarriffs er der ingen, der helt lyder som dem.
Med albums som L’Eau Rouge, T.V. Sky og Only Heaven var The Young Gods et af de mest toneangivende bands på industrial-scenen i 80’erne og 90’erne og sammenlignes ikke sjældent og uden grund med Nine Inch Nails, der da også har angivet The Young Gods som en vigtigt inspirationskilde. På samme måde som Ministry, Devin Townsend og Mike Patton.
Da David Bowie i 1995 udgav albummet Outside svarede han på spørgsmålet om det var inspireret af Nine Inch Nails: Nej, faktisk er det en schweizisk trio ved navn The Young Gods, der har påvirket mig her.
The Young Gods var ofte på besøg i Danmark i perioden 1987 – 1995, hvor de bl.a. spillede på Roskilde Festival to gange. Det er med stor stolthed at ALICE nu kan bringe trioen tilbage til København.

The Young Gods are an industrial rock trio from Fribourg in Switzerland. After 24 years they are finally back in Denmark, where they played regurlarly in the period 1987 – 1995. They have performed at Roskilde Festival twice. In the 80’s and 90’s they played a crucial part on the industrial rock scene and have served as inspiration for artists such as Nine Inch Nails, Devin Townsend and David Bowie. In March they released their 8th studio album, Data Mirage Tangram, showing the band still capable of writing intense and unique music.

ALICE is presenting a bold and high quality program of global roots, jazz/improv, electronic music, sonic experiments and much more, shedding light on musical roots and legendary artists as well as exciting new breakthroughs from all over the world.
