Irske U2 med Bono i front har altid afsøgt grænserne for rockmusikken. Efterhånden er bandet lige så kendt for sin politiske aktivisme og religiøse værdier som for sin musik. I anledning af Bonos 60-års fødselsdag tager lektor, ph.d. og musiker Troels Østergaard os med på en rejse til rockmusikkens grænseland i et foredrag, der kombinerer liveudgaver af U2’s største sange med anekdoter og fortolkninger. Fra 80’er klassikere som ”Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” til senere mesterværker som ”Beautiful Day” skal vi dykke ned i Bonos særlige evne til at forene musikalsk enkelthed med storslået lyrik. Musikforedraget arrangeres i samarbejde mellem KK44, Gødvad Folkeuniversitet og Gødvad Sogn.
