"An Ode To Daddy" med den danske titel "Barn af umulig kærlighed" er Ranias M. Tawfiks seneste dokumentarfilm. Dokumentaren følger Maria Berg, en ambitiøs ung kvinde, som drømmer om at få et tæt forhold til sin far. Marias forældre blev skilt, da Maria var en lille baby. Hun voksede op hos sin mor Ruth, som er Jehovas Vidne, og havde meget sporadisk kontakt med sin libanesiske far Mohammed. Maria påbegynder derfor en rejse for at finde de manglende brikker i sit liv og komme tættere på sin far.
Efter filmvisningen deltager instruktør Rania M. Tawfik og hovedrolleindehaver Maria Berg, til en snak om dokumentarens tilblivelse, og giver mulighed for at publikum kan stille spørgsmål.
Dokumentaren vises gratis på Talk Town festivalen i samarbejde med Dansk Kvindesamfund.
Rania M. Tawfik er en libanesiskfødt filminstruktør med irakiske rødder. Hun har base i Danmark, hvor hun i 2011 blev uddannet fra Den Danske Filmskole. Hun har instrueret flere dokumentarfilm og har vundet priser for sine dokumentarfilm "A Light Breeze" og "The Eternal Night".
