Den amerikanske komponist og multimedie-kunstner Arnold Dreyblatt tilhører anden generation af New York-minimalisterne og har studeret hos bl.a. La Monte Young, Pauline Oliveros og Alvin Lucier. Dreyblatt er født i New York, men har siden 1984 været bosiddende i Berlin, hvorfor han langsomt har opbygget en fanbase i Europa. Arnold Dreyblatts kompositioner har været fremført af blandt andre Bang On A Can All-Stars, Jim O'Rourke, Pellegrini String Quartet, Megafaun og Crash Ensemble, men det er særligt hans brug af hjemmebyggede instrumenter og mikrotonalitet, som har gjort ham til et meget omtalt navn inden for ny kompositionsmusik. Han bruger sit eget notations- og stemningssystem, der i udpræget grad baserer sig på overtoner og modificerede strengeinstrumenter, og derfor bliver lytteoplevelsen ofte betegnet som 'transcenderende' eller 'minimalist avant-rock'.
Dreyblatt gjorde sig på dansk grund bemærket som et af hovednavnene på sidste års Festival of Endless Gratitude, hvor han leverede en aldeles fremragende koncert med The Orchestra of Excited Strings, som spiller på Jazzhouse d. 18. februar.
Konrad Sprenger er pseudonymet for kunstneren, produceren og komponisten Jörg Hiller, som også er manden bag pladeselskabet Choose Recors, der står bag udgivelser med blandt andre Ellen Fullman, Arnold Dreyblatt, Robert Ashley and Terry Fox. I livesammenhæng har Sprenger senest fokuseret på computerstyret guitar. Han udforsker rytmiske mønstre for derigennem at fremkalde 'kognitiv upålidelighed' gennem 'metrisk' dissonans. Med Sprengers tilgang kommer guitarens strenge til at fungere som frekvensgeneratorer; stemt og sat i bevægelse af forskellige elektronisk styrede mekaniske processer. Musikken kan relateres til minimalismen, Krautrocken og technoens insisterende rytmer og deres fælles fokus på transcendens gennem fremaddrivende, fuldspektrede lyd.
Sprenger har siden 2000 løbende optrådt og arbejdet sammen med Arnold Dreyblatt.
