Bag navnet Clap! Clap! står den italienske producer og dj Cristiano Crisci, der har en vidtspændt musisk karriere med afsæt i midthalvfemsernes rapmusik. Crisci var dog hurtig til i stedet at samle saxofonen op og gå en mere jazzet vej i jazz/punk-trioen Trio Cane, men fra 2004 blev han fast medlem af den eksperimenterende elektroniske trio A Smile For Timbuctu, der udgav fire album frem til 2008. Her besluttede Crisci sig for at springe ud som elektronisk solist under navnet Digi G’Alessio, hvor han i højere grad lod sig inspirere af den spirende L.A.-beatscene, der blev skudt afsted af det amerikanske label Brainfeeder (Flying Lotus, Daedelus, Thundercat, The Gaslamp Killer m.fl.).
I løbet af Criscis producerkarriere fik samples fra det afrikanske kontinent mere og mere plads i musikken, hvilket ledte til Clap! Clap!'s fødsel i 2013. Et projekt, hvor Crisci på unik vis blander fængende elektroniske beats med samples fra afrikanske feltoptagelser og instrumentalsamarbejder med sydafrikanske musikere.
Clap! Clap! har netop udgivet sit andet album 'A Thousand Skies', som gennem lige dele farverige samples og legende live-instrumentering fortæller historien om en ung piges rejse gennem stjernehimlen.
Support på aftenen er Simon Dokkedal, der er kendt som den ene halvdel af dj-duoen Den Sorte Skole.
