Bag om den globale gig-økonomi i en film, hvor det nye app-proletariet af Uber-chauffører og cykelbude også selv tager ordet.
Arbejdsmarkedet er i forandring. Teknologi gør algoritmen til den nye mellemleder, arbejderen giver køb på sine rettigheder, og kundens ratings bestemmer, hvem der har et job i morgen. I en rejse fra Frankrig, USA og Kina til Nigeria tegner ‘The Gig is Up’ et billede af det nye globale app-proletariat, som også selv tager ordet undervejs.
Et digitalt feudalsamfund af chauffører og cykelbude, hvor oprøret ulmer, og krav om ordentlige forhold er på vej. Førende tech-eksperter gør os samtidig klogere på både psykologi og datamønstre, og giver et bud på fremtidens arbejdsmarked, hvis altså ikke vi siger fra i tide. For hvor skal man starte, når Amazons lagerarbejdere får deres løn udbetalt i gavekort – til Amazon selv? Eller når stress, afhængighed og ødelagte familier skal heles, og der ikke er nogen vej ud? Et sted at starte er at se de mennesker i øjnene, som cykler byen tynd for at bringe aftensmaden til ens dør. Og netop det gør man i Shannon Walshs højaktuelle og humane tech-film.

I have not received my ticket via email. What should I do?
The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services. The approval of refunds is entirely at the event organiser’s discretion, and you should get in contact with the event organiser to discuss what options are available to you.
