Cykeltur søndag den 18. august kl. 12.30-15
Kom tæt på Vilhelm Hammershøi og det gamle København, når Den Hirschsprungske Samling inviterer på en særlig cykeltur i kunstnerens fodspor.
Vilhelm Hammershøi lod ofte hjemmets stuer danne afsæt for sine malerier, og det var derfor af stor betydning, hvor han boede. Han og hustruen Ida var meget omhyggelige med at vælge deres boliger og opsøgte sammen specielle huse og lejligheder. Hammershøi holdt af det gamle København og skildrede gerne byens iøjnefaldende bygninger som Christiansborg, Skt. Petri Kirke, Christians Kirke og havnen omkring Kvæsthusgade.
To gange i august tager vi på cykeltur i Hammershøis København og ser på nogle af de steder, der fik betydning for hans kunst og på det København, han holdt af. Vi starter på Frederiksberg Allé 34, hvor Hammershøi boede med sin familie som ung, og hvor han malede sine tidlige gennembrudsværker. Vi kommer også forbi flere af kunstnerens andre boliger, heriblandt Strandgade 25 og 30, som danner rammen for hans mest berømte interiører. Undervejs hører vi om Hammershøis kunst og om et København, der dengang så ganske anderledes ud. Cykelturen slutter foran Den Hirschsprungske Samling, hvor man i dag kan opleve flere af kunstnerens absolutte hovedværker.

Vi mødes på Sankt Thomas plads på Frederiksberg Allé søndag den 18. august kl. 12.30.Turen varer ca. 2,5 time.
Bemærk venligst, at cykelturen udelukkende foregår udendørs. Turen giver ikke adgang til de nævnte lejligheder.

Museet ligger i smukke grønne omgivelser i Østre Anlæg og rummer tobaksfabrikant Heinrich Hirschsprungs fine samling af dansk kunst fra 1800-tallet.
Åbent: ons-søn kl. 10-17. Entré: 110 kr. 1 voksen + 1 barn: 100 kr. Unge under 26 år: 80 kr. Børn og unge under 18 år: gratis.
