Oct 23 2013 15:00 - 17:00

Description

Explore the diversity of Copenhagen!

Copenhagen is the city of residence to many people from around the globe. Denmark – and by extension its capital, Copenhagen – is often perceived as a homogeneous society and not very open to outsiders – but is this really true?

During the Diversity Walk, participants will discover some of the diversity the city of Copenhagen encompasses – from gender, sexual orientation, religion to ethnicity. By visiting a number of key organisations/sites we will learn more about the diversity of Copenhagen.

The event, which takes place on Wednesday 23 October 2013, begins at 15.00 at the International House (Gyldenløvesgade 11) and ends at Verdenskulturcentret (Fælledvej 7) at approximately 18.30, after which there is an optional dinner (own expenses) at the Café Baggården at the same address.

The event can be done either by foot or by bike (if you bring your own) – please bring appropriate clothing.

At the event you will meet – among others – the following organisations:

  • International House – a one-stop shop for foreigners in Denmark
  • Representatives of the Diversity Charter of Copenhagen City Council
  • Kvinfo – the Danish organisation of information on gender, equality and diversity
  • The World Culture Center (Verdenskulturcentret) – the cultural center in Copenhagen with a special focus on ethnic minorities
  • And the organiser, Work & Life Denmark – who help expats create a life of quality

If you have to cancel after you have signed up, please send us an email at info@workandlife.dk

We look forward to seeing you!

Work & Life Denmark together with British Council, the City of Copenhagen and partners

FAQ

  • I have not received my ticket via email. What should I do?

The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services. Alternatively, you can always find your tickets in your Billetto account that you can access in the browsers or the dedicated Billetto app. For more help with this, read here.

  • I wish to cancel my ticket and receive a refund. What should I do?

The approval of refunds is entirely at the event organiser’s discretion, and you should get in contact with the event organiser to discuss what options are available to you. To get in touch with the event organiser, simply reply to your order confirmation email or use the "Contact organiser" form on the organiser's profile. For more help with this, read here.

  • I have registered on the waiting list, what happens now?

If more tickets become available you will be notified (by email) amongst others who have joined the list. Purchasing is on a first-come first-serve basis. For more information, read here.

  • Where do I find a link to an online event?

Check your order confirmation page or order confirmation email. Usually, the organiser of the event provides the details in the order confirmation email or they might send you a follow-up email with a link to their online event. You might also want to read the event description on Billetto where an event organiser should describe how to join the event online. For more information on this, read here.

  • What is refund protection and why would I need it?

Refund Protection provides you with the assurance that if unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances interfere with your ability to attend an event you can claim a refund. For more information on this, read here.
