Hør Musorgskijs "Dødens sange og danse", hvor døden i skiftende forklædninger besøger fire døende mennesker. En vuggevise, en kærlighedserklæring og en russisk dans indgår i musikken til nogle af de skæbner, som døden tager med sig.

Gustav Mahlers gribende "Kindertotenlieder" til digte af Friedrich Rückert er også på programmet. Digtene blev skrevet, mens Rückert sørgede over tabet af sine to børn, der var døde af skarlagensfeber.

Igen i år kan vi glæde os over samarbejdet mellem to af Danmarks fineste musikere, mezzosopranen Nana Bugge Rasmussen og pianisten Pål Eide.

Nana Bugge Rasmussen og Pål Eide

Den prisbelønnede mezzosopran Nana Bugge Rasmussen er en alsidig sangerinde, der beskæftiger sig både med kirkemusik, lied og opera fra alle perioder lige fra tidlig musik til helt nye værker.
Hun er uddannet ved konservatorierne i København og Berlin og er prisvinder i Concorso Internazionale Musica Sacra i Italien og i Concours International de Chant Baroque i Frankrig.

Pål Eide er født i Norge og har boet i Danmark siden 1990. Han er uddannet som pianist på Det Kgl. Danske Musikkonservatorium og har derudover studeret i Rusland.
Hans CD “Grey Clouds” fik opsigtsvækkende anmeldelser i den internationale musikpresse, og siden har han optrådt i direkte udsendelser i både radio og tv, bl.a. på Louisiana.
