Duo Edda - Prisvindende strygere fra Island


Duo Edda er et nordisk ensemble der består af den danske violinist Vera Panitch og den islandske cellist Steiney Sigurðardottir. Deres kunstneriske samarbejde startede i 2018 da de mødtes i Islands symfoniorkester i Reykjavik, hvor de begge har ledende stillinger; Vera som alternerende koncertmester og Steiney som alternerende solocellist. Duoen fik 3. pris ved P2s prestigefyldte kammermusikkonkurrence 2020 i København.

Både Vera og Steiney har inden for den sidste tid optrådt som solister med henholdsvis Iceland Symphony Orchestra og Reykjavík Chamber Orchestra. Denne dynamiske duo har fokus på det nordiske og de har derfor oftest et nordisk værk med på programmet; indtil videre tæller det værker af bl.a. Per Nørgård, Jon Nordal, Johan Halvorsen og Arne Nordheim. Vera og Steiney vil fortælle om musikken undervejs i koncerten.

Løvehave Koncerter er en række klassiske koncerter med nogle af landets dygtigste musikere i naturskønne rammer midt i bøgeskoven tæt på Sorø.

Koncerterne byder på noget af det smukkeste og bedste musik fra den klassiske verden med kammermusik for både strygere, blæsere, sangere og klaver.

Vi glæder os til igen i år at fylde Løvehavehus med musik og slå dørene op for publikum.
