Finding a job in Copenhagen is not always easy – especially if you don’t speak Danish.
Following on from the huge success of 2 previous 6-week Employment Assistance workshops Karey-Anne, founder of Welcome Group Consulting and NGO Café Cadeau, the most expat-friendly café in Copenhagen have teamed up to hold free monthly employment workshops designed to help you find employment in Denmark.
The monthly workshops will have a different theme each time, with a short 45-minute presentation on that subject. After the presentation there is time to ask questions, and to work on your CV, cover letter or whatever you may need assistance with in the Café, where free wi-fi, cheap tea / coffee and snacks are available.
There is plenty of seating for you to create a relaxed work space, so you can utilise the information you receive and put it into practice.
The weekly themes covered are listed below:
- Thursday 10th January – How to Find an English Speaking Position & Networking in DK. What are the best resources for finding English speaking vacancies and how and where to network.
- Thursday 7th February – LinkedIn – bring yours to life and get connected. How to look appealing to recruiters. Endorsement, connections and more.
- Thursday 7th March – Confidence Building & Asset Identification. How to be assertive and identify your assets.
- Thursday 4th April - CV Writing – bring yours with you for this extended CV writing workshop. How should it be done in DK. How to incorporate key words and really ‘apply’ yourself.
- Thursday 2nd May – Cover letter – How to create a winning cover letter and stand out application.
- Thursday 6th June – Interview Techniques – What actually happens in Denmark? Whats expected and how to behave. Role play available for those that want to practice.
Due to the rising number of people that sign up for our events and do not show up, we have been forced in to implementing a registration fee of 25.-. This is in the hope that people who sign up - turn up. Signing up and not turning up (or cancelling your ticket online) takes the space that someone else could have taken. Think of your fellow expats when making a booking and please give your space to someone else, if you are not able to attend by cancelling online prior to the event. Thank you.

Ik heb mijn ticket niet via e-mail ontvangen. Wat moet ik nu doen?
Het eerste wat je moet doen is je spam/junk filters en inboxen controleren. Je tickets werden verzonden als een bijlage en kunnen door sommige e-maildiensten als spam worden beschouwd. Als alternatief kun je altijd je tickets vinden in je Billetto account dat je kunt openen in de browsers of de speciale Billetto app. Voor meer informatie raadpleeg, .

Ik wil mijn ticket annuleren en mijn geld terugkrijgen. Wat moet ik doen?
De goedkeuring van terugbetalingen is de beslissing van de organisator van het evenement, en je dient contact op te nemen met de organisator van het evenement om te bespreken welke opties voor jou beschikbaar zijn. Om in contact te komen met de organisator van het evenement, hoef je alleen maar te antwoorden op de bevestigingsmail van je bestelling of het formulier "Contact opnemen met organisator" op het profiel van de organisator te gebruiken. Ik heb me ingeschreven op de wachtlijst, wat gebeurt er nu?
Als er meer kaarten beschikbaar komen wordt je op de hoogte gesteld (via email), samen met de anderen die op de lijst staan. Kopen van de kaarten is op een first-come first-serve manier. Voor meer informatie kun je hier lezen.

Waar vind ik een link naar een online evenement?
Controleer je orderbevestigingspagina of orderbevestigingsmail. Gewoonlijk verstrekt de organisator van het evenement de details in de e-mail met de orderbevestiging of ze kunnen je een vervolgmail sturen met een link naar hun online evenement. Misschien wil je ook de evenementbeschrijving op Billetto lezen, waar een evenementorganisator moet beschrijven hoe hij online aan het evenement kan deelnemen. Wat is restitutiebescherming en waarom heb ik die nodig?
Restitutiebescherming biedt je de zekerheid dat als onvoorziene en onvermijdelijke omstandigheden je mogelijkheid om een evenement bij te wonen in de weg staan, je een restitutie kunt claimen. Voor meer informatie hierover kun je hier lezen.
