Foredrag ved direktør Gertrud Oelsner
onsdag den 24. april kl. 17-18.30
Mød direktør Gertrud Oelsner, der fortæller om landskabsmaleriet i det lange 19. århundrede, hvor forestillingen om en dansk nationalstat med én fælles fortid og arv blev skabt, og hvor der blev kæmpet om retten til visuelt og geografisk at definere forestillingen om Danmark.
I forbindelse med videnskabsfestivallen Forskningens Døgn inviterer Den Hirschsprungske Samling til et spændende foredrag ved direktør Gertrud Oelsner. Foredraget tager udgangspunkt i hendes ph.d.-afhandling En fælles forestillet nation. Dansk landskabsmaleri 1807-1875 fra 2017, der handler om sammenhængen mellem landskabsmaleriet og 1800-tallets politiske transformationer.
Ved hjælp af landskabsmalerier fra perioden ser Gertrud Oelsner på tværs af det kunsthistoriske skel, der ofte opstilles mellem den første halvdel af 1800-tallet, kaldet guldalderen, og den sidste halvdel, der traditionelt anses som en nedgangsperiode og optakten til det moderne. Hun vil også dykke ned i skildringen af geografiske egne og specifikke lokaliteter og fortælle om, hvordan det arketypiske ”danmarksbillede” var til evig forhandling med skiftende prioriteringer af sjællandske og jyske landskaber.

Museet ligger i smukke grønne omgivelser i Østre Anlæg og rummer tobaksfabrikant Heinrich Hirschsprungs fine samling af dansk kunst fra 1800-tallet.
Åbent: ons-søn kl. 10-17. Entré: 110 kr. 1 voksen + 1 barn: 100 kr. Unge under 26 år: 80 kr. Børn og unge under 18 år: gratis.
