En makeover til din gamle sweater? — workshop på engelsk ved ved Ýr Jóhannsdóttir (aka Ýrúrarí) på Pakhusstrik 2022
Ýr Jóhannsdóttir er en tekstildesigner fra Island, der arbejder under navnet Ýrúrarí. Hendes arbejde er kendt for at være humoristisk, energisk og modigt, hvor traditionelle tekstilteknikker bruges i upcycling af usælgelige brugte sweatere til nye unikke, bærbare kunstværker.
Ýrúrarí har skabt sig et navn i Island og blev nomineret til den islandske designpris i 2020 og har siden da udviklet et kreativt reparationsværksted som en del af sin Mag.art grad. Hendes sweatere og strik har også vundet international anerkendelse og kan findes i skabe hos kendte kunstnere som Erykah Badu og Noel Fielding, men også i samlingerne af The National Museums of Scotland, Textiel Museum i Holland og Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum.
WORKSHOP
Denne eftermiddag står hun for et workshop, hvor deltagerne vil lære at bruge nålefiltning til at reparere tøj på, enten ved at lave lapper eller ved at give deres gamle strik en makeover.
Materialer: Medbring gerne en gammel sweater, en hue eller hvad du nu kunne tænke dig at friske op.
Sprog: Undervisningen vil foregå på engelsk.
Tidspunkt: 14-16 (Der vil være en kort oplæring fra 14.00, og herefter er der fri leg med nålefiltning i bedste Ýrúrarí-stil frem til kl. 16)
