Med choro som stilistisk ramme giver musikerne i Choro Vivo deres helt egen fortolkning af musikken, der med sine stærke rødder i den klassiske, europæiske musik, også er åben for improvisation og spontanitet som i amerikansk jazz. Tag med Choro Vivo på en musikalsk rejse til Brasilien, og få et charmerende og anderledes indblik i denne rige brasilianske musikkultur.

Sankofa Trio fra Bogota Colombia udforsker lydene på deres instrumenter (fløjte, cuatro og elektrisk bass) i deres akustiske fortolkninger af nyere folkelige musiktrends i Colombia og Latinamerika. De blander på deres egne unikke måde traditionel kendt musik med nyere kompositioner og deres egne innovationer.

Om festivalen
Festivalen er en del af en international netværk af musikere som understøtter inspiration og udveksling musikerne imellem, og nærer der igennem den latinamerikanske folkemusik. Sonamos Latinoamerica findes i dag i så mange lande som Argentina, Venezuela, Uruguay, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Chile, Brasilien, Bolivia, Italien, Belgien, Frankrig, Spanien og Danmark.
Festivalen Sonamos Latinoamerica CPH 2019 arrangeres af CkulturA i samarbejde med Musikmuseet, Union KBH og Krudttønden.
Med støtte af Statens Kunstfonds, DMF, Frederiksberg Musikudvalg, Østerbro Lokaludvalg, København Musikudvalg og Tempi.
