FIGURA FESTSPIELE PRÆSENTERER: UDEN ALDER - OLE SARVIG 100 ÅR
I 2021 ville digteren og forfatteren Ole Sarvig være fyldt 100 år. Ole Sarvig er en af Danmarks vægtigste digtere i det 20. århundrede og han har sat sig tunge spor med sin præcise og billedskabende digte, som også̊ har præget generationer af digtere siden. Både Søren Ulrik Thomsen, Michael Strunge og Ursula Andkjær Olsen har hentet stærk inspiration fra ham.Komponisten Jakob Davidsen har længe været meget begejstret or Ole Sarvigs digte, og i løbet af de sidste 5 år har han arbejdet med at sætte udvalgte digte i musik. Enkelte af disse værker er allerede med stor succes blevet opført og et enkelt har fundet vej til hans sidste udgivelse “The World is Babel and Ivory” på Dacapo med sopranen Signe Asmussen, FIGURA og hans eget Kammerat Orkester.
Jakob Davidsen har samlet 5 stemmer og 5 instrumentalister med mezzosopranen Signe Asmussen og musikere fra FIGURA og DR Bigband i spidsen:
