GRØNLAND PÅ FILM / KORTFILM OG DEBAT
Se fire kortfilm fra Grønland og mød filmskaberne Inuk Jørgensen, Nivi Pedersen og Emile Hertling Péronard, der drøfter aktuelle tendenser i grønlandsk film.
I de sidste par årtier har en støt voksende gruppe af grønlandske filmskabere markeret sig, både hjemme og internationalt. Samtidig har Grønland tiltrukket udenlandske filmfolk gennem hele filmhistorien og gør det stadig i dag, hvor flere af filmene laves i samarbejde med netop grønlandske filmfolk.
Og selvfølgelig er det forskellige sider af Grønland og det grønlandske samfund, der optager de forskellige filmskabere. Men hvad er hovedtendenserne i nutidens film og her især dokumentarfilm fra Grønland? Og hvad er det for et Grønland, vi møder i filmene?
Kortfilm og debat
Filmene er Inuk Jørgensens dokumentar Home (8 min, 2019), Nivi Pedersens Snow (8 min, 2018), Jens-Christian Lyberth Lennerts fiktionsfilm You Killed Your Dreams (6 min, 2020) og portrætfilm om fotografen Inuuteq Storch With Darkness I Grew Into a Midnight Sun (37 min, 2019)
Gæsterne er instruktørerne Inuk Jørgensen og Nivi Pedersen og producer Emile Hertling Péronard fra Anorak Film, der bl.a. har produceret Sume – Lyden af en revolution og været co-producent på film som Lykkelænder, Håbets Ø og Aquarela samt stået bag den nye undervisningsportal Levende Grønland.
Moderator er filmdagenes Birgir Thor Møller.
Arrangementet
Kortfilmene vises med engelske tekster.
Arrangementet inkluderer debat (på dansk) og varer 110 minutter.
Salen og filmcaféen åbner 45 min før filmvisningen.
