Det er mere end 20 år siden Morten Schuldt-Jensen og Sokkelund Sangkor for første gang begejstrede det københavnske koncertpublikum med en frisk, 'slank' udgave af Händels Messias. I 2011 brød koret så traditionen og opførte i stedet Bachs Juleoratorium. Koncerterne blev så stor en succes, at Sokkelund Sangkor besluttede fremover at skifte mellem Messias og Juleoratoriet hvert år. I år er det Händels populære "Messias" (del 1 og 2) der står for tur.
En særlig tradition ved disse julekoncerter er introduktionen, hvor Morten Schuldt-Jensen – med hjælp fra solister, kor og orkester – forklarer og illustrerer udvalgte dele af værket, f.eks. med fokus på et musikalsk tema eller virkemiddel, eller på hvordan en teologisk pointe bringes til udtryk i musikken.
Introduktionen begynder en time før selve koncerten, og varer ca. 30 min.
Dørene åbnes 1½ time før koncerten, og der er adgang også under introduktionen.

The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services. The approval of refunds is entirely at the event organiser’s discretion, and you should get in contact with the event organiser to discuss what options are available to you.
