Claude Debussy (1862-1918) er en af de mest kendte franske komponister og en central skikkelse indenfor impressionismen. Et af kendetegnene ved impressionismen, i malerkunst såvel som i musik, er, at det sjældent er handlinger. der er i centrum for værket. Man skildrer stemninger, lys, dufte, fornemmelser, øjebliksbilleder. Debussy lader toner og harmonier stå og flimre i luften uden nødvendigvis at være på vej et sted hen, eller for pludselig at gå i en helt anden retning, end man forventede af dem. Dette skaber et tonesprog, som på én gang er flygtigt og fængslende, og som står som et bindeled imellem den romantiske musik, han fødtes ind i, og de moderne stilretninger, der voksede frem efter ham. Debussy døde i 1918 på grund af sygdom, kun 55 år gammel. Denne koncert er således en hyldest til ham, hans liv og frem for alt hans musik.

Maria Bundgård, f. 1991, er en dansk pianist med polske rødder. Hun har studeret klassisk musik på Det Kongelige Danske Musikkonservatorium i København, på Frederic Chopin Konservatoriet i Warszawa og på Schola Cantorum i Paris. Hun har udgivet to cd'er, Lyden af Vand og From Russia With Love. En tredje cd udkommer i efteråret 2018.

Marianne Thomsen Clement, f. 1990, er uddannet ved musikkonservatoriet i Malmö og CRR de Boulogne-Billancourt i Paris. Hun arbejder nu som freelance musiker med engagementer i Danmark, Sverige og Frankrig.
