Efter 10 dage med Fringe Jazz Fest i Byhaven, der blev fyldt med dansevenlig brass musik og dejlig sydstatsstemning, har vi stadig ikke fået nok. Derfor har vi denne sensommer inviteret verdens mest elskede brødrebrassband fra Chicago, Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, til en stor hornfest d. 17. september.
Inden det hypnotiske band skød deres internationale karriere i gang med sin allerførste udenlandske koncert i Danmark, optrådte brødrene som gademusikanter i Chicagos undergrund. Dengang lyttede de mest til NWA, Public Enemy, Eazy- E og Ice Cube, men som søn af jazzkoryfæet Sun Ras legendariske trommeslager Philip Cohran, var jazzen aldrig særligt langt væk. Så da de alle senere rejste fra Chicago til Los Angeles, New Orleans og til sidst New York, var det oplagt for det ni mand høje blæseband at finde den helt rigtige lyd i en af tung blanding af hiphop, blæserjazz, funk og soul.
Siden da har Hypnotic Brass Ensemble udgivet et utal af album og EP’er, spillet udsolgte koncerter i USA og Europa og optrådt og indspillet med en lang række markante kunstnere som De La Soul, Prince, Erykah Badu, Gorillaz og Prince.

The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services. The approval of refunds is entirely at the event organiser’s discretion, and you should get in contact with the event organiser to discuss what options are available to you.
