Koncert med :
Komponisten og pianisten Makiko Hirabayashi der siden udgivelsen af hendes første trioalbum af kritikere verden over blevet anerkendt som et stærkt navn på den international jazzscene. Hun har gennem årene haft et tæt samarbejde med perkussionisten Marilyn Mazur (Miles Davis Group 85-89, Jan Garbarek Group 91-05) og spiller fast med i flere af Mazurs bands, ligesom Mazur er fast medlem af Maiko Hirabayashi Trio sammen med bassisten Klavs Hovman.
De tre musikere har spillet sammen i mange år og i mange sammenhænge, og de har opbygget en nærmest telepatisk evne til at forstå og følge hinanden musikalsk. I deres musik vil man derfor opleve et sammenspil på usædvanligt højt niveau. Et sammenspil som fører musikken med i alle tænkelige retninger. I både kompositionerne og trioens spil oplever man en lethed og en inspiration fra bl.a. klassisk musik, jazz, musik fra Fjernøsten, Skandinavien. Alt sammen blandes sammen og bliver til et unikt lydunivers.
