stærkeste yngre jazzprofiler i Skandinavien.
Windfelds fire bigband-udgivelser AIRCRAFT (2015), LATENCY (2017), ORCA (2020) og DETERMINATION (2021) er blevet rost til skyerne i førende internationale medier som Downbeat (USA), Le Monde (F) og Jazzwise (UK) og har ledt til en lang række priser og legater. I 2020 vandt hun den meget prestigefyldte pris “Rising Stars Jazz Award, European Edition” som medførte en turné på 7 førende europæiske festivaler. I 2022 modtager Windfeld den ærefulde Ben Webster Pris og har også en Danish Music Award og Carl Prisen i bagagen.
Ved siden af sine egne ensembler er Windfeld en eftertragtet gæstekomponist. Hun har samarbejdet med førende europæiske orkestre som Frankfurt Radio Big Band (DE), DR Big Band og det svenske Bohuslän Big Band. Hendes eget bigband har desuden optrådt med verdensklasse-solister som Mike Stern (US), Seamus Blake (CA) og Gilad Hekselman (US)
