The James Taylor Journey præsenterer et sandt overflødighedshorn af kendte og elskede James Taylor sange fra 70´erne og helt frem til i dag, når de giver koncert i Kulturhuset No1 i Tølløse den 24. januar kl. 19.30.
The James Taylor Journey er et nyt 10 m/k stort orkester med rødder i det lokale musikmiljø i Holbæk. De er alle engageret i byens frodige teater- eller musikliv og deler kærligheden til James Taylors legendariske sange.
De sange, de har valgt ud fra hans store repertoire, bliver leveret med stor overbevisning af sanger og skuespiller Mads Lisby i front. Han er bakket op af, på kor, Sarah Slott , Rikke Dyrberg Brandt og Anders Rasmussen.
Musikerne bag har mange års erfaring. Det er på keyboard: Niels Jørgensen, akustisk guitar: Peter Frøslev, elektrisk guitar: Knud Erik Møller, perkussion: Poul Achton, trommer: Allan Bode og bas: Togo Olsen.
James Taylor
Mange vil kende James Taylor for hans allerstørste hit, hans udødeliggørelse af Carole King klassikeren You´ve got a friend, som han vandt en Grammy for i 1971. Men hans enorme bagkatalog strækker sig over mere end 40 år og op mod 100 millioner solgte albums, og en lang, lang perlerække af klassikere. Det seneste album ”Before this world” kom i 2015. Han har vundet fem Grammy´er og et hav af andre priser og anerkendelser gennem sin karriere og betegnes som et ikon indenfor sin genre.
Han har desuden arbejdet med en række kendte kunstnere gennem tiden heriblandt Paul McCartney, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Dixie Chicks, Stevie Wonder og været en stor inspiration for andre kunstnere.
