Konvent fra København leverer den helt mørke death-doom i Pumpehuset den 25. januar 2020, når de som en del af turnéen for deres kommende plade "Puritan Masochism" svinger forbi spillestedet i Studiestræde.
Bandet fandt sammen i 2015 og i 2017 udgav bandet demoen, "demo". Sidenhen har Konvent tiltrukket sig en del opmærksomhed på den danske metalscene og spillet koncerter på både Aalborg Metal Festival, Metal Magic Festival og den velkendte branchekoncert Copenhell Freezes Over i 2018. Disse koncerter lagde grundlaget for en pladekontrakt med Napalm Records og en bookingaftale med Napalm Events for hele verden.
I 2019 tog Konvent deres mix af dødsmetal og tung doom til de store scener, da de spillede både Copenhell og Roskilde Festival – begge dele blev vel modtaget af både anmeldere og publikum. Nu er de klar til at headline deres egen tur, som altså lægger vejen forbi Pumpehuset.
Konvent er svært begejstrede for endelig at kunne præsentere deres kommende album. Et album der er præget af tunge baslinjer, dødelige growls og frygtindgydende guitarriffs. Pladen udkommer til januar 2020.
