Siden sidste år har vi glædet os til at Bogotas syrehoveder i Los Pirañas vender tilbage til København med deres dansable blanding af afro-colombianske rytmer, cumbia og tropisk rock.
Forestil dig et hallucinerende sammenstød mellem tropisk afrobeat, mørk cumbia, syrerock og en computer på ecstasy, tilsat en solid dosis forvrænget trancemusik. En ung Carlos Santana på syre. Dét - og intet mindre - er lyden af den Bogota-baserede trio Los Pirañas, og til november vender de tilbage til Nørrebro med et brag.
Med medlemmer fra bl.a. Meridian Brothers, Frente Cumbiero, Ondatropica og Romperayo, hvoraf flere allerede har spillet koncerter på både Global og ALICE, er der ikke alene tale om et mesterligt all star-band fra Bogatas sprudlende musikscene. Los Pirañas har nemlig også skabt deres helt egen lyd ved at fusionere deres egne tropiske musikalske rødder med alverdens dansable genrer som afrobeat, vallenato, den peruvianske chicha, champeta og raspa. Resultatet er en personlig og dragende art tropisk psych som er umulig at stå stille til!
Det kan man høre på deres forrygende albums, senest “La Diversión Que Hacía Falta En Mi País” (2016). Derudover kan man med Los Pirañas forvente et helt igennem medrivende live-show med dragende, flammende visuals og et band, der når langt ud over scenekanten. Med sig når de gæster ALICE til november har bandet deres nye album, som udkommer på Glitterbeat i 2019.

Imagine a hallucinating encounter among Andres Landero´s dark cumbia, Konono´s distorted
trance, Ceramic Dog´s sophisticated rawness, tropical afrobeat and an out of control computer. This is the Southamerican psychedelic sound of the 21st century: Los Pirañas!
With members from Meridian Brothers, Frente Cumbiero, Ondatropica og Romperayo,
Los Pirañas combine styles like vallenato, Peruvian chicha, Colombian raspa, champeta, some African sounds with a rock attitude, noisy improvisations and absurd musical humor. Think of Captain Beefheart in an exotic mood. Completely crazy, but very danceable and enjoyable at the same time. After their explosive concert at ALICE last year, we can’t wait to welcome the trio when they return to Nørrebro this Autumn, with a new album on Glitterbeat Rebords!

The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services.
