Vi fejrer igen Skt. Patricks dag med et brag af en fest med irish stew, Guinness og irsh coffee.
McGuinness leverer som sidste år musikken denne aften. Det er et særdeles velspillende band fra Hjørring der spiller irsk musik i topklasse.
Der er mulighed for at tilkøbe koncertmenu leveret af Restaurant Hedelund og spisningen starter kl. 18.30 i pavillonen.
Kl. 20.00 går Mc Guinness på scenen.

Når man ser en fiskekutter glide stille ud i fjorden ved Kellybegs på Irlands vestkyst med kurs mod sildestimerne i det uendelige Atlanterhav - eller nyder det smukke syn af morgendisen hen over den store Loch Lomond i Skotland - så har man lidt af den stemning som McGuinness søger at skabe med traditionelle instrumenter som harmonika, guitar, mandolin, banjo og fløjte kombineret med keyboards og trommer - oveni krydret med velklingende sang og kor.
McGuinness nuværende besætning er: Henning Frederiksen på harmonika, Henrik Wolsing på smuk tenor, Morten Krag på trommer, Lasse Hansen på guitar, Sune Christiansen på fløjte, banjo og mandolin og Lars Rønne på keyboards.
Sammen har de, med tydelige tråde til folk-rock og kombineret med kærligheden til den traditionelle folkemusik, fået skabt et univers der gør, at ikke kun dem med halm i træskoene kan nyde musikken.
