Det er igen blevet tid for topaktuelle Michael Falch til at tage på en af sine intime, akustiske soloturnéer. Den danske rockveteran medvirker i årets udgave af seersuccesen Toppen af Poppen på TV2, og under en heftigt rockende periode med sit band udsendte han sidste år det dristige, moderne album, 'Pludselig alting samtidig', der blev lovprist overalt og præmieret af Statens Kunstfond som et af årets vigtigste albums. Den nu 61-årlige Michael Falch har gennem årene udviklet sig til et fænomen, der går sine egne veje i dansk rock ved konstant at variere sit kunstneriske udtryk. Han brugte sommeren 2017 på en stribe livsglade festivalshows med KrebsFalch, og i efteråret udgiver Gyldendal hans åbenhjertige ungdomserindringer, 'Til grænsen', ligesom Universal udsender et opsamlingsalbum ovenpå Toppen af Poppen. I februar-marts 2018 gælder det igen hans solooptrædender, der gennem 20 år er blevet berømmede for deres vekslen mellem bevægende livshistorier og løssluppen intensitet i sange, hvoraf en flere er blevet en del af den danske sangskat - tænk bare på Mød mig i Mørket, I et land uden høje Bjerge, Superlove, Ud af Mørket og Den Eneste i Verden. Michael Falch har aldrig været bedre, lyder det alle steder fra, og han demonstrerer igen og igen, at det passer, hvad man siger om ham: At han også ene mand kan få enhver sal til at grine og græde, synge og gynge.
