Description
GÆSTESPIL fra LINZ. Den danske pianist Sven Birch flyttede i 1992 til Østrig som professor og institutleder på Bruckner Universitetet i Linz, i årene 1998 – 2003 underviste han også på Mozarteum i Salzburg. Ud over at være en efterspurgt docent ved klaverkurser og mesterkurser i en lang række lande er han også komponist og har bl.a. fået udgivet en serie med pædagogisk klavermusik på forlaget Universal Edition. Med sin hustru, den græskfødte fløjtenist Ria Georgiadis, der er professor på det Ioniske Universitet Grækenland og blandt andet har studeret hos Robert Aitkin og Karlheinz Stockhausen, har han en omfattende koncertvirksomhed. De har et tæt samarbejde med mange komponister, som har skrevet værker til dem - som det er tilfældet med koncertens to danske førsteopførelser af irske Evangelia Rigaki og Mogens Christensen.
