To spændende duo-konstellationer åbner Vinterjazz på ALICE med personlige musikalske udtryk, der forener nordiske og tyrkiske musiktraditioner. Og ikke mindst med masser af saz. Luna Ersahin (AySay) optræder i ny duo-konstellation med Rezwan Taha (Rest in Beats), mens Orhan Özgür Turan præsenterer sin nye duo Thorhan med islandske Þór Arnarsson.
ALICE rimer Vinterjazz på Vinter-saz, når vi byder på to stærke duo-projekter, hvor strengeinstrumentet saz og anatolske/kurdiske musiktraditioner har en fremtrædende plads, men hvor disse også indgår i dialog med både nordisk folkemusik, psych-rock, ørkenblues mm.
Orhan Özgür Turan er efterhånden et velkendt ansigt på ALICE, hvor han har optrådt med både sit solo-projekt, Ipek Yolu og Hudna. Han var også en del af vores ALICE Archives-projekt i starten af 2021. Til Vinterjazz har vi fornøjelsen af at præsentere ham i ny duo-konstellation med den islandske musiker/producer Þór Arnarsson. Ved at tage udgangspunkt i deres musikalske forskelligheder skaber Thorhan, som duoen er blevet navngivet, en ny lyd, som bedst kan beskrives som en nyfortolkning af tyrkiske folkemelodier blandet med nordisk folk, indie og psych-rock. Det bliver uden tvivl en spændende rejse fra to udsøgte musikere.
Var man forbi til ALICE’ housewarming i Musikhuset København i efterårsferien, er man formodentlig også allerede faldet pladask for Luna Ersahin & Rezwan Taha - en spritny duo bestående af to stærke sangerinder med kurdisk baggrund, der ellers har slået deres folder i projekterne AySay og Rest in Beats. Kurdisk folkemusik, sjælfulde vokal-harmonier, smukke melodier og groovy roots-toner bindes sammen af to stærke musikalske personligheder, som vi glæder os til at bringe tilbage til Musikhuset til denne åbningsaften for Vinterjazz 2022.
Koncerten er en del af Vinterjazz – en landsdækkende musikfestival, der fejrer jazzen og udforsker dens mange forgreninger. Vinterjazz 2022 finder sted den 3.-27. februar. Læs mere om festivalen på www.jazz.dk

ALICE opens Vinterjazz 2022 with an exciting programme presenting two new duo constellations that fuses Anatolian/Kurdish roots with Nordic sounds. Experience Thorhan - a new duo from Orhan Özgür Turan (Ipek Yolu, Hudna) and Icelandic musician/producer Þór Arnarsson - and Luna Ersahin (AySay) in a new duo with Rezwan Taha (Rest in Beats). We promise an evening of groovy and soulful music, mixing Anatolian and Kurdish traditions with psychedelic explorations, African blues, lush vocals and - not to forget - lots of epic saz!

The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services.
