Description
Denne aften i juli har vi på Selsø fornøjelsen af at kunne byde indenfor til en koncert med den unge strygekvartet, Nightingale String Quartet. De vil spille strygekvartetter fra romantikken af blandt andre Haydn, Mozart og Mendelssohn i den forhåbentlig lune sommeraften. Et nærmere program for aftenen følger.
Nightingale String Quartet har base i København og består af Gunvor Sihm og Josefine Dalsgaard, violiner, Marie Louise Broholt Jensen, bratsch, og Louisa Schwab, cello. Kernen af kvartettens identitet er en fælles passion for det fantastiske strygekvartetrepertoire, samt en stærk kærlighed til hinanden som både musikere og bedste venner.
Medlemmerne af Nightingale String Quartet er alle uddannet fra Det Kongelige Danske Musikkonservatorium i København, hvor professor Tim Frederiksen siden kvartettens dannelse i 2007 har fungeret som trofast mentor.
Udover stor koncertvirksomhed i Danmark har Nightingale String Quartet turneret i bla. Kina, Rusland, Brasilien, USA, England, Tyskland, Holland, Sverige og Sydafrika. Kvartetten havde sin Wigmore Hall debut i London i januar 2014.
Koncerten foregår i Selsøs smukke baroksal fra 1734.
I pausen kan forfriskninger nydes på gårdspladsen eller i kælderkøkkenet.
